Manchester United are looking to beat Everton and progress to the FA Cup’s fourth round.

The Red Devils are preparing to welcome Frank Lampard’s Everton to Old Trafford on Friday night for an all-Premier League cup showdown, and with the Toffees in poor form, Erik Ten Hag will certainly be expecting to see his side come out on top.

Taking nothing for granted though, the former Ajax boss has named arguably his strongest available starting 11 with the only notable absentee being defender Lisandro Martinez, who has yet to feature following his World Cup win with Argentina.

United, unlike tonight’s opponents, are in good form though and can boast six wins from their last six outings in all competitions.

Following five consecutive Premier League victories, including a 3-0 thumping over Bournemouth last time out, United are arguably back in the title race and Ten Hag has given his thoughts on whether or not Old Trafford can become a fortress again.

“It can be but you have to prove it every game and you have to be ready for every game,” the Dutchman told MUTV, as quoted by ManUtd.

“So it’s [about] starting with good organisation, starting with the right attitude and energy that you have to bring on the pitch.”

The Red Devils’ FA Cup matchup against Everton, which is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. (UK time), will be broadcast live on ITV.
