Manchester United track €60m-rated Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani

Manchester United are among a list of top European clubs interested in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.

That is according to German football journalist Patrick Berger, who claims that the Bundesliga outfit won’t sell Kolo Muani in January and there is no release clause in his contract for United to trigger.

Berger tweeted: “Manchester United among top clubs interested in Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani. But there is no €60m offer so far. Anyway #Eintracht will not sell RKM in January, clear position. The 24yo has a contract with the Bundesliga side til 2027, no release clause.”

This season Kolo Muani has five goals and nine assists in 14 Bundesliga matches, as per WhoScored, which amounts to 14 goal contributions in as many games.

Elsewhere, French newspaper L’Equipe report United and Bayern Munich are both pursuing the Frankfurt start, who scored for France in the World Cup semi-final.

Stretty News verdict

I don’t think we should be expecting a move for Kolo Muani in January as Berger suggests Frankfurt want an offer in the region of €60m, along with the condition that he won’t be leaving the club in January.

United are more likely to scan the market for loan signings.

The Glazers are selling up and won’t give Erik ten Hag the budget he needs to continue building a successful squad.

United fans will have to wait until the summer at the earliest.
