Manchester United’s season is back up and running, with Erik ten Hag’s men claiming back-to-back victories since the resumption of club football.

The campaign was halted to accommodate this winter’s World Cup but United have now returned in stellar fashion, registering two wins against Burnley and Nottingham Forest.

The 3-0 win over Forest earlier this week was arguably one of the best performances under Ten Hag and there are several players who will deem themselves to be undroppable going into the next game against Wolves.

One of the biggest question marks is in the backline and whether Lisandro Martinez is going to play after helping Argentina to World Cup glory.

The 24-year-old has been back in full training this weekend and he is likely to partner Raphael Varane, who surprisingly featured against Forest.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to keep his place due to Diogo Dalot’s injury, with Luke Shaw likely to play at left-back after deputising at centre-back against Forest.

Casemiro, who starred for the Reds once again in midweek, will partner Christian Eriksen. Bruno Fernandes is almost certain to play, with Antony and Marcus Rashford on either flank.

Anthony Martial is averaging a goal or assist every 61 minutes this season and he was among the goals against Forest. He will be hoping to add to his tally on New Year’s Eve.

Predicted Man United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
