Manchester United are enjoying a dream start to the resumption of their Premier League campaign as they welcome newly-promoted Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag was forced to name a makeshift backline for the game, with Luke Shaw playing alongside the returning Raphael Varane at the heart of United’s defence.
The pair had very little to do in the opening 25 minutes, however, with Marcus Rashford continuing his stellar form to give the Reds the lead in the first half.
Just moments later, Anthony Martial doubled United’s lead after an electric counter-attack. Of course, Rashford was at the centre of it all again by assisting the goal, as seen below.

Martial has now scored five goals in just nine appearances this season and amid United’s urgent shortage of options in that position, Ten Hag will be hoping for the Frenchman to stay fit for the remainder of the campaign.
