Manchester United are finally back in Premier League action following a six-week hiatus to accommodate this winter’s World Cup.
Erik ten Hag’s men have already played one game since the season was resumed, with the 2-0 win over Burnley in the Carabao Cup marking a pleasant return to football for the Dutchman.
United were in fine form going into the World Cup break and Ten Hag will be hoping to pick up right where his side left off nearly six weeks ago.
Ten Hag is without one of his first-choice defenders as Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane both went the distance in their respective World Cup campaigns – but the latter is back in the side tonight.
The Reds boss has named a strong side for United’s return to Premier League action, with a familiar frontline taking shape. Marcus Rashford, arguably United’s best player this season, starts on the left.

Antony is recalled on the right-hand side whilst Anthony Martial leads the line up front – his third consecutive start in all competitions.
Further back, Casemiro and Eriksen are back to make up United’s first-choice midfield behind Bruno Fernandes, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka keeping his place in Diogo Dalot’s absence.
Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire have both been left out – presumably due to illness – which means that Luke Shaw is likely to play at centre-back alongside Varane. Tyrell Malacia will then take up his usual position on the left side of defence.
