Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has suggested that the Red Devils could try to sign Harry Kane.
That would be one way to solve our striker woes – made slightly deeper by Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.
Speaking to Mr. Casanova, Pallister said (via Manchester Evening News): “Harry Kane. I’d chuck him into the mix again. I know that City was his dream and he has talked about winning trophies – are Tottenham going to win anything in the near future? I’m still suggesting no. Should Harry Kane be winning the biggest and best trophies with his ability? Yes he should. He’s got another decision to make come the summer. He knows the Premier League and I think he’d be great at United. He’s not just about scoring goals, he can bring others into play and he’s very clever winning fouls, with his link play, he can assist – and he’s got that hunger to score goals. He’s not going to go to Man City because they’ve got Haaland, so that move is out the window. Newcastle could come in and blow everyone out of the water and say there you go, we’ll take Harry Kane to Newcastle. Chelsea are looking to make a move and a statement of intent, and could that be a possibility? Maybe a Real Madrid or Barcelona. Anyone would take Kane as he’s a bloody good player.”
I personally wouldn’t want to give Tottenham over £100m for Kane, without trying to justify that by downplaying his ability. He’s a very good player albeit injury prone.
