Proper football is back following the World Cup.
Manchester United will return to domestic action on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup, with the Premier League returning next week with a home game against Nottingham Forest.
Most of the squad have returned home to Carrington from Qatar, but Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane will be given extra leave before they reunite with Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Here are the Premier League games the squad will return to:
Tuesday, December 27 vs Forest (H), 8pm
Saturday, December 31 vs Wolves (A), 12:30pm
Tuesday, January 3 vs Bournemouth (H), 8pm
Saturday, January 14 vs Man City (H), 12:30pm
Sunday, January 22 vs Arsenal (A), 4.30pm
Saturday, February 4 vs Crystal Palace (H), 3pm
Ten Hag will demand an improved run of form throughout the second half of the season in order to finish in the top four. I don’t think we should bank on any January incomings because the books don’t look pretty and the Glazers are looking for a buyer.
