Manchester United may make no signings in the January transfer window due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

FFP intends to stop clubs from spending more money than they earn, preventing financial troubles and potentially long-term survival.
Teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have been accused of breaching the regulations in the past and more recently were reported by La Liga to UEFA, as it was believed the two “state clubs” were in “continuous breach” of the rules.
Leicester City have been treading on thin ice over the past months due to their growing debts. Consequently, they were unable to significantly bolster their squad over the summer, despite overseeing several outgoings.
Disciplinary sanctions of FFP breach
Consequences of breaches can be severe and include disqualification from European competitions, points deductions, fines, transfer bans and withholding of prize money.
The Red Devils are reportedly now turning to the loan market to seek out reinforcements next month.
