Rangers legend Ally McCoist believes Harry Maguire will leave Manchester United if he doesn’t get the game time he wants going forward.

Erik ten Hag said he was happy with Harry Maguire’s performances at the World Cup, but then again, who wasn’t? The United skipper always performed better in an England shirt and recently admitted that representing the biggest club in the world comes with a different type of pressure.

Speaking to talkSPORT, McCoist backed Maguire to leave United in search of regular football after an impressive World Cup campaign.

“I think he will move. He isn’t going to hang around – he wants to play.

“I don’t think there are any guarantees that he’s going to march back into the Manchester United team, not in front of Varane and Martinez.

“Clearly he will want to play. Straight away off the top of my head, I’d say he’s good enough for Spurs. Arsenal? Maybe not at this moment in time.

“But he’s been one of England’s best players at the World Cup.”
