Dean Henderson does not want to return to Manchester United after loan spell

Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson does not want to return to the club following his loan spell at Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old is an academy graduate at Carrington but has failed to ever cement himself in the first team.

He sought a loan move after spending two years playing second fiddle to David de Gea at Old Trafford and ended up at newly-promoted Forest as their No.1 in their first season back in the Premier League.

Henderson saved a penalty from West Ham’s Declan Rice and kept a clean sheet to oversee Forest’s first win in the top flight for 23 years. He also displayed an outstanding performance in a 1-0 win against Liverpool, in which they had seven shots on target but could not hit the back of the net.

According to 90min, the Englishman is unwilling to return to his parent club, whilst the Red Devils are hoping his appearances at the Midlands side will “help generate interest from potential buyers”.
