Bruno Fernandes is in red-hot form for Portugal at the moment and the 28-year-old maestro was at his brilliant best once again on Tuesday when he helped fire his nation into the World Cup quarter-finals.

Fernandes assisted Portugal’s second goal, becoming the first Portuguese player to reach five direct goal involvements in a World Cup since 1966.

Against Switzerland, he was pulling the strings once again and was unlucky to come out of the game with just one assist – you can watch all of his highlights below.

Portugal will now take on Morocco in the quarter-final later this week, with the winner of that meeting facing France or England in the semi-final.

Should Portugal continue to impress and go far in the tournament, the chances of Fernandes being named the player of the tournament are increasing each day.
