Manchester United youngster Mateo Mejia has been called up for Colombia’s U-20 squad.
The squad has been named as Colombia begin their preparations for the South American U-20 championships next month.
Despite being born in Zaragoza, Spain, the 19-year-old has Colombian citizenship.
Since joining United from Real Zaragoza in 2019, Mejia has struggled to get a regular run in the academy sides due to injuries. He has made just two appearances for the U-21s this season but he has not had any minutes on the pitch since August.

Colombia is the host nation for the upcoming U-20 South American championships and they will be looking to win the tournament outright for the first time since 2013.
We would like to congratulate Mejia on the call-up. Hopefully he can make an impression.
