Next Manchester United owner odds: Sir Jim Ratcliffe leads probability race

The Glazer family have begun a process to sell Manchester United.

Manchester United’s American owners, who brought the club in a controversial £790m leveraged buy-out in 2005, announced last week they were “exploring strategic alternatives”, which include a possible sale.

While the team has gone five years without a trophy, that won’t stop interested parties from shelling out the estimated £5 billion to buy the club – but we know it will take a lot more money (at least £1 billion) for Old Trafford’s redevelopment plan.

Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has developed projected odds at who the next owner of Manchester United will be. You may need to excuse the laughable mention of Michael Knighton.
