Manchester United need to end wait for trophy

Manchester United are approaching their sixth year without a trophy.

Erik ten Hag knows his ultimate task is to get United back into the Champions League and competing for Premier League success, although he would do himself a big favour by going all the way in a cup competition this season.

Our last taste of success came in 2017 when Jose Mourinho lifted the Europa League.

The fans would love a good journey in the FA Cup under Ten Hag. United last lifted the trophy in 2016 when Jesse Lingard scored an extra-time winner against Crystal Palace. The final will also be remembered for Alan Pardew’s ridiculous dance moves.

Safe to say Pardew wasn’t dancing at full-time as Louis van Gaal picked up his departing gift…
