Manchester United players suspect Cristiano Ronaldo has played his last game for the club.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will likely never pull on a United shirt again, following his “explosive” interview with Piers Morgan. Snippets have been released but the show will air tonight and tomorrow in full. The club are waiting to hear the entire interview before making an official statement on the comments.

If he does not feature for the Red Devils again, his last appearance came against Aston Villa in a Premier League clash on November 6. Ironically, he was named captain for the tie.

So far, Ronaldo has criticised the Glazers, detailed his lack of respect for Erik ten Hag and claimed he felt forced out of United – amongst other things.

United’s stance

According to Samuel Luckhurst, Ronaldo’s disrespect of the manager has led United to believe he will not play for the club once the World Cup has concluded.

Luckhurst also confirmed: “United are respectful of Ronaldo’s legendary status and hope to eventually part amicably.”
