Manchester United have won their final Premier League game before the league pauses for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Matched against Fulham for Sunday’s away fixture, Erik Ten Hag’s Red Devils travelled to London to take on Marco Silva’s tricky Cottagers.
Looking to return to winning ways after losing 3-1 against Aston Villa last weekend, although putting in a relatively underwhelming performance overall, United ran out narrow 2-1 winners thanks to a 93rd-minute winner from Argentine teenager Alejandro Garnacho.

Following what a hugely significant impact by the young super-sub, midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who has been critical of the 18-year-old’s attitude in the past, has heaped the praise on him.
Speaking to Sky Sports after full-time, Portugal’s Fernandes, when quizzed on just how good Garnacho can become, said: “I think everyone is seeing signs of that [improved attitude].
“Not because of his goals or because of his assists, but the way he comes into the games. Coming from the bench – no one likes to be on the bench.
“If you’re young or older, it doesn’t matter – you don’t like to be on the bench, so the attitude he has when he comes off the bench has been fantastic.
“I think he deserves the chances he is getting and he’s getting his goals, his rewards, so that’s what his football is about.”
🗣️ “About time.” 😅
