(Video) United linked striker tops Serie A goalscoring charts after strike against Udinese

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United and speculation will only continue if he keeps scoring at his current rate.

Osimhen, once again, had a huge impact on the game and it only took a quarter of an hour to score his ninth goal in the league this season.

He also helped Napoli score a second goal when the Nigeria international controlled the ball and found Hirving Lozano, who assisted Piotr Zielinski.

The game finished 3-2 in Napoli’s favour after a nervy finale.

Napoli now hold an 11-point lead at the top of the table, although that could change depending on other results this weekend.

Osimhen has nine goals and two assists in the league which is a good record for a centre-forward. It’s a shame he won’t be at the World Cup as he is currently leading the goalscoring charts in Italy.

Meanwhile, United are in desperate need of a new presence up front because we have not been able to rely on Anthony Martial so far this season due to injuries. Osimhen would be a terrific signing but Napoli won’t be under any pressure to sell one of their most prized assets.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Osimhen is on United’s shortlist for a new striker.
