Ryanair joke at Jadon Sancho’s expense after missing out on World Cup squad

Ryanair took aim at Jadon Sancho after the Manchester United winger failed to make the cut in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man World Cup squad.

The airline company thought it would be funny to kick Sancho while he is down — an hour after the England squad announcement — by offering the 22-year-old a seat on one of their flights this winter.

“We’ll still fly you somewhere,” Ryanair tweeted.

Ryanair and well and truly the Paddy Power of airlines, and that isn’t a compliment.

Sancho has had a mixed season so far but I still find it very strange that the finger is being pointed at Sancho. He initially started the campaign well, on the right wing, but the England international has been unable to replicate that form on the left flank.

The joke could be made about about Reece James and Fikayo Tomori at AC Milan, but for some reason they are focusing on Sancho.

He currently has 23 international caps to his name since his senior debut in 2018.
