Garnacho returns: predicted Man United line-up vs Fulham

Manchester United are aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League before the season is broken by the World Cup in Qatar, with Erik ten Hag’s men not due to play again until late in December.

A nine-game unbeaten run came to an end last week following the 3-1 defeat at Villa Park but spirits have been lifted again after United beat Unai Emery’s side in the Carabao Cup game between the two sides earlier this week.

One final test awaits United before the World Cup break and that’s newly-promoted Fulham, who have exceeded all expectations in their return to the top flight.

Marco Silva, who has enjoyed varied success in the Premier League with Hull City, Watford and Everton, took the London club up and is doing a fantastic job.

Ten Hag has a number of selection issues ahead of the game, with several of his first-team regulars in the frontline remaining on the sidelines. Speaking ahead of this game, he admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo and Antony remain doubts.

Alejandro Garnacho could make back-to-back starts in the Premier League after starting at Villa Park last season, with Marcus Rashford playing centrally. Anthony Martial started the Carabao Cup game but is unlikely to start again as he continues to build his fitness.

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will be brought back in after both players came off the bench on Thursday but there is another difficult decision further back.

Diogo Dalot, who has started every competitive game for United this season, is suspended. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has made just one appearance and although he is said to be fit now, it’s highly unlikely that he will start.

Instead, left-back Tyrell Malacia could be used on the right-hand side. Alternatively, Victor Lindelof could play at right-back – something he has done before.

Predicted Man United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Lindelof, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Fernandes, Van de Beek, Garnacho; Rashford
