Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho provided two assists against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night, despite being named on the bench for the match.
The Red Devils progressed to the fourth round of the competition after an exhilarating second half of football. Six goals followed after the break as United came from a losing position twice before clinching the win.
Anthony Martial scored the first equaliser and then it was Marcus Rashford. The win was sealed by two late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay. The latter all but confirmed United’s place in the next round, but it was largely due to Garnacho’s superb delivery and vision.

Garnacho’s impact was immediate as he assisted Bruno Fernandes to put United 3-2 up.
However, it was his incredible cross to McTominay which got people off their seats at Old Trafford.
The young forward could get a regular role in the line-up if he continues to shine under Erik ten Hag.
