Manchester United will face Fulham in their final match before the World Cup kicks off on November 20.

The Reds saw out a triumphant 4-2 win midweek against Aston Villa, but suffered a 3-1 loss when facing the Midlands side in their Premier League clash last week.

Fulham tasted defeat at the Etihad Stadium at the weekend after a last-gasp penalty from Erling Haaland secured all three points for Manchester City. They are ninth-placed in the league table and are level on points with Liverpool after an impressive start to their return to the top division.

The home side will be without prolific forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has netted nine goals in 12 appearances this season and is third in the race for the Golden Boot.

United will be without in-form right-back Diogo Dalot due to suspension. The Portugal international has started every match for the Red Devils so far.

Key first-team players are also doubts ahead of the fixture; Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo are ill and Antony is still injured.

Regarding the Brazilian’s fitness, Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference, as per ManUtd.com: “We will work on that, but I can’t confirm that he will be in the squad for Sunday. But, he made progress in the last days and we will see tomorrow, Saturday, if he will be available for the team on Sunday.”

On Ronaldo’s possible involvement, he added: “I can’t guarantee that [Cristiano will be available] now, but today he was ill. He can recover from that, it’s not really a serious illness that takes days or weeks, so I think it’s possible that he is available for Sunday and he will be in the squad.”
