Manchester United have secured their passage to the next round of the Carabao Cup after beating Aston Villa at Old Trafford despite falling behind twice.
Afer a drowsy first half, the visitors opened the scoring after the interval but their lead lasted just 19 seconds as Anthony Martial equalised quickly.
Minutes later, the Villains would regain their lad but once again, it didn’t take long before United were back on level terms – this time through Marcus Rashford.
Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead for the first time later and with just minutes remaining, Scott McTominay ensured United escaped a nervy ending, as seen below.

The Scotland international latched on to an incredible cross from Alejandro Garnacho, who impressed once again in his brief cameo.
United will now wait to discover their opponents in the fourth round. Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been eliminated in the third round.
“Villans” – not “Villains”.
