Manchester United’s record-breaking FA Youth Cup victory has been named Moment of the Season at the Armstrong Projects Northwest Football Awards.
Alejandro Garnacho, who has broke into the first team under Erik ten Hag this season, scored twice, while defender Rhys Bennett also got on the scoresheet against Warren Joyce’s Nottingham Forest side in the final.
A 3-1 win was enough to see United lift the trophy for an 11th time on a memorable night at Old Trafford.
Head of Academy, Nick Cox, was at the NWF award ceremony to pick up the accolade.

Cox has huge responsibilities at Manchester United to ensure that the academy has everything it needs to develop the best players. Brexit makes his job more difficult because United can’t go to Spain and lure talent like they could years ago.
Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay are among today’s graduates from United’s youth ranks, which is something that makes fans proud of the club’s rich traditions.
United will be hoping to replicate their FA Youth Cup run this season.
