Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is heading to the World Cup in Qatar this winter.

Denmark named 21 players that they will bring to the tournament, including Eriksen, just 18 months after a cardiac arrest brought an abrupt end to his Euro 2020 campaign.

Eriksen returned to international football in March and he remains their best player, so the 30-year-old was always going to get into Kasper Hjulmand’s final squad for the tournament.

Hjulmand is expected to add a further five players to his squad this week.

Denmark start their group campaign against Tunisia and we could see Eriksen come up against Hannibal Mejbri in midfield. They also face France and Australia on their quest to reach the knockout stages.
