Manchester United pull a goal back late in the first half thanks to Luke Shaw.
The left-back got forward and went for goal, only for his effort to take a lucky deflection off Jacob Ramsey.

Shaw deserves his goal after fighting his way back into the team to take back his place from Tyrell Malacia. He’s been really good going forward but may need to step up his game defensively.
It was the sort of moment United needed before half-time after going 2-0 down after 11 minutes, with Villa making the most of their new manager bounce under Unai Emery.
Hopefully it’s a short-lived one and United can take all three points today.
