Donny van de Beek is still struggling to prove his worth in a Manchester United shirt.

The Netherlands international has come under heavy criticism after his performance against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Van de Beek was given an opportunity to start following Bruno Fernandes’ suspension, but he flattered to deceive and made little impact during the game.

Now, pundit and former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has slammed the United midfielder after his recent performance.

“Donny van de Beek took about five years to play the ball out and that’s why he isn’t up to the pace with it,” said Morrison, speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, as quoted by The Metro.

Van de Beek needs to improve quickly or he faces the chop at United.

I was surprised Ten Hag didn’t take him off at half-time today.
