Diogo Dalot to miss Fulham clash due to suspension

A yellow card against Aston Villa means Diogo Dalot will be suspended for Manchester United’s trip to Fulham – our final Premier League game before the World Cup.

The right-back was walking a disciplinary tightrope when United took on Unai Emery’s new side at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for the player, he will miss the next game after seeing out a 3-1 loss against a side we really should be beating away from home.

Dalot has started every game in all competitions for United so far this season, so it will be a blow to Erik ten Hag and his plans for the game against Fulham, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka being the only other right-back in the squad.

The Portuguese international has been booked on five occasions in the Premier League this season and must now serve a one-match ban.

I think most United fans will agree when I say Dalot has been one of the most improved players under Ten Hag this season.

I fear to think how we’ll look with Wan-Bissaka *trying* to attack down the right flank.
