(Video) Former Manchester United full-back Buttner scores 30-yard volley for new club

Former Manchester United left-back Alexander Buttner has scored one of the best goals you will see this season for his new club De Graafschap.

Buttner, who was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012, spent two years at United but he joined De Graafschap earlier this year after leaving RKC Waalwijk.

I remember watching Buttner make his debut for United in a crushing win over Wigan in the Premier League. He scored that day and Nick Powell made his first-team debut, too. We all had hopes for him but he was never able to cement a place in the team.

However, it’s always good to see former United players do well in their careers and Buttner has been doing exactly that with one goal and two assists in his first 11 appearances for De Graafschap.

The Dutch left-back continued his impressive form with a cracking finish against Den Bosch.

In the 14th minute, Buttner made a run down the left wing and volleyed home a pass from 30 yards. He managed to catch the goalkeeper out to score a stunning goal:

De Graafschap went on to lose the game and currently sit 15th in the Eerste Divisie.
