Journalist claims United are ready to please Ten Hag with Gakpo transfer pursuit

Manchester United could look to reward Erik ten Hag after his promising start as first-team manager by launching a pursuit to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo.

Ten Hag was named manager in the summer and signed new players such as Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Martin Dubravka and Christian Eriksen.

The season didn’t get off to the greatest of starts when United lost their first two Premier League matches to teams they should be beating — Brighton and Brentford — but the team bounced back and they’re currently on a 9-man unbeaten run.

As a result, journalist Rudy Galetti claims that Richard Arnold and John Murtough will try to service Ten Hag’s request to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo. He adds that United are about to define an agreement with PSV over the Netherlands international.

Galetti claims United are ready to please the new manager after his promising start to life at Old Trafford, but I will always have my doubts over whether the Glazers are willing to back Ten Hag enough to get us back on top of English football.

Winning the Premier League is the bread and butter for United fans and that is what we want to do under Ten Hag. The last time we achieved that was in 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson and the years are clocking up fast…
