Marcus Rashford has reflected on life at Manchester United since the appointment of Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch boss opted for a move to Manchester after spending five years in charge of Ajax. Throughout his time in Amsterdam, he led his side to three Eredivisie titles, two KNVB Cups and the Johan Cruyff Shield.

At United, Ten Hag has had to be patient whilst instilling his philosophy into the squad, who have registered consecutive lacklustre seasons under previous managers.

In the 2021/2022 season, they oversaw their worst Premier League campaign since 1990.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the league table and have saw out wins to rivals Arsenal and Liverpool. After a rocky start in August, the team seem to be building momentum and form whilst Ten Hag looks to have confirmed his most effective starting eleven.

His summer signings, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Antony and Casemiro have been instrumental to United’s successful results, showing the manager’s ability to scout talent.

Rashford’s verdict on Ten Hag

In an interview with PA Media, Rashford said: “The manager’s a joy to work with, really. Is it hard work? Yeah but I think we are enjoying it and we’re playing better football.

I feel like when we don’t concede goals, we’ve got a good chance of winning games because we’re creating chances. We just need to finish them off, be a bit more clinical in front of goal.”
