Manchester United may be in the market for a new striker in January but they can forget about Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli has sent a warning to clubs interested in the Nigerian striker that the club are not looking to make any changes to their squad in January.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Giuntoli said: “We are currently not focused on the market – and we’re not planning to do anything in January. We want to keep this squad.”

You can understand why when you look at Napoli in Serie A and the Champions League this season. They are a team on an upward trajectory and selling a key player like Osimhen midway through the season would be a terrible move.

They are three points clear at the top of Serie A and top their Champions League group going into the final game. Osimhen has managed five goals in nine games and there has been speculation over a switch to Old Trafford.

United will have to wait if they want Osimhen and he could cost north of £100 million, as per Tuttosport.
