Cristiano Ronaldo sets new record after 3-0 win over FC Sheriff

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the Manchester United starting line-up last night and made sure to end his mini-goal drought.

It was a routine win for the Red Devils – beating FC Sheriff 3-0 at Old Trafford, but United know that they still have a lot of work to do to qualify for the knockouts as group leaders. It will take a two-goal margin of victory against Real Sociedad next week.

Diogo Dalot, Marcus Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo all got on the scoresheet to secure the win against our Moldovan opponents.

For Ronaldo, his third goal of the season proved to be his 15th goal of the calendar year. It means he has now scored at least 15 goals in 18 consecutive seasons, dating back to 2005.

Ten Hag will be happy with Ronaldo’s performance after bringing him back into the team. He worked hard, got into goalscoring positions, and hit the back of the net.

Ronaldo will be hoping for as much game time possible between now and the World Cup, but I don’t think he will be in the starting line-up this weekend.
