(Video) Diogo Dalot breaks Man United deadlock as Red Devils dominate Sheriff

Manchester United have finally broken the deadlock during Thursday night’s Europa League group game against FC Sheriff.

Despite struggling to break their Moldovian opponents down, the Red Devils have undoubtedly been the game’s better side.

Dominating play since the match first kicked off, Erik Ten Hag will be pleased with the display his team have put on. The Dutchman’s only concern would have been how long it was going to take before his side put the ball in the back of the net, and thankfully, the manager’s prayers have been answered.

Just minutes before the half-time break, full-back Diogo Dalot climbed highest from a corner kick and headed the ball beyond opposition goalkeeper Maksym Koval.

As things stand, United will qualify for the competition’s knockout stage, but the group’s winner will be decided next week when the Premier League giants travel to Spain to take on leaders Real Sociedad.
