Manchester United join Liverpool in chase for MLS wonderkid Jhon Duran

Manchester United have joined the race for MLS wonderkid Jhon Duran and face competition from Liverpool for the attacker’s signature.

The Red Devils have had their fair share of wonderkids over the years. Even right now they have a few youngsters with incredible potential in the academy such as Alejandro Garnacho and Zidane Iqbal.

Sometimes these players have talent in abundance but not always to the point they’re able to break into the first-team, but at the very least the club should look to turn a good profit – all in a bid to build a title-winning team.

United are now being linked with a move for 18-year-old Colombian winger, Jhon Duran, currently showcasing his ability in a breakthrough season for Chicago Fire in the MLS. The winger has picked up five goals and eight assists this season which is a solid return for a young player.

It’s worth noting that The Sun doesn’t just note interest from United and Liverpool. It is reported that Chelsea have also shown interest, with Todd Boehly keen to show his hand across the pond.

They also report that Duran’s agent and family recently travelled to England, with Chicago seemingly keen to cash in on their forward in the near future.

Duran made his senior debut for Colombia in September, coming on as a substitute for Radamel Falcao in a 4-1 win over Guatemala. He also made an appearance against Mexico in a 3-2 win.

We’ll keep track of Duran’s future over the coming months if he continues to be linked with a move to United.
