(Video) Erik ten Hag stresses Man United must take their chances after Chelsea draw

Manchester United will be coming out of their 1-1 draw with Chelsea with mixed emotions after a frantic end to the game at Stamford Bridge.

United have a good record there in recent years and despite their decent form lately, Chelsea were narrow favourites ahead of the game.

But United were dominant from the first whistle and not until 35 minutes into the game, when Chelsea made tactical tweaks, did the hosts get involved.

During those 35 minutes, United created several opportunities and they should have scored at least one goal. Speaking after the game, Erik ten Hag has stressed that United must be better at taking their chances.

“I think it was a good game, brilliant game,” Ten Hag told Football Daily after the game, as seen above. “Two teams who I think (are) close together.

“In the first half, I think we dominate the game. That is also why, the opponent, why they switch their system. And then it’s going to be a lttle bit more difficult for us.

“And that we saw, especially defence wise in the last minutes in the first half. Before that we already had to get up. Good chances, Rashford twice, Antony, one on ones even with the keeper. In these moments, you have to use your chances.

“In the second half, I think it was equal, it was a battle between two games or same height. In the end, I think a point is justified.”

United will now set their sights on their Europa League fixture with FC Sheriff on Thursday, with Ten Hag’s men searching for a fourth consecutive win in the competition.
