Manchester United willing to let Ronaldo go for free due to lack of interest

Manchester United have yet to receive any interest in Cristiano Ronaldo despite making him available on a free transfer since the summer, ESPN report.

The 37-year-old was axed from the squad to face Chelsea as punishment for refusing to come on as a substitute in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Tottenham at Old Trafford. Ronaldo not only refused instructions from Erik ten Hag, but he stormed down the tunnel on the 89th minute yet we still have people like Rio Ferdinand defending him and blaming the manager.

It’s a crazy world we live in…

Ronaldo was angered at being among the substitutes, but the manager made the right call. United were leading 2-0 against a team they will be competing against for the top four places.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo isn’t happy unless everything is about him.

That is why I think we need to move on from Ronaldo as soon as possible. He is only becoming a distraction now that he is now playing every week.

If ESPN’s sources are to be believed, United have been willing to offload Ronaldo since he made it clear in the summer that he wanted to leave the club. Their stance at the time was that he wasn’t for sale.

The article also states that sources have said that there is a hope within Old Trafford that clubs could emerge as potential options for Ronaldo he has a good World Cup with Portugal in Qatar next month.

It won’t be easy to find a club willing to take on his £500,000-a-week contract.

United were mad to.
