Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has likened his ‘treatment’ by Manchester United and Erik ten Hag to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion.

Of all things I didn’t expect to be writing about today, Jesus Christ’s crucifixion is certainly one of them, but the latest Ronaldo drama is reaching new levels of ridiculous now.

The 37-year-old has already apologised for his actions on Wednesday night and now his sister, Katia Aveiro, is now slamming Ten Hag and comparing his treatment of her brother to Jesus’ death.

Talk about taking things to the extreme and being over-dramatic!

“No-one who was born to shine by the hands of God will be undone by someone who has never worn his shoes. He is and will be history,” She wrote on her Instagram alongside some photos with her brother.

“There is a verse in the bible that says: ‘This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberated plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.’

“He fulfilled the promise he made as a 13-year-old boy to his mum and siblings. This is the one whose accent was made fun of and was mocked over his alcoholic dad.”

She also had a post featuring Jose Mourinho, using it as a dig towards Ten Hag, saying: “If you are not able to coach the big players you are not able to coach anyone.”

Ronaldo only has himself to blame. I don’t care what his sister or his fanboys have to say about that.

Stretty News verdict – Ten Hag handles Ronaldo situation perfectly

I don’t care about what Ronaldo has done in the past. It doesn’t excuse bad behaviour and to see a 37-year-old storm off in that fashion on Wednesday night was embarrassing to say the least.

Jesus Christ comparisons my backside!

Ronaldo got a deserved slap on the wrist and a reality check. He is not the star he was before.

Ten Hag has a bigger job on his hands the restore the Manchester United of old. A dominate side and there has been encouraging signs.

The Dutchman has certainly showed the dressing room who is boss by making an example out of Ronaldo.
