Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has analysed where Marcus Rashford keeps going wrong in front of goal.

Rashford failed to get on the score sheet last night as Manchester United saw out a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. The England international had three shots on target but was unable to hit the back of the net after an outstanding performance from Hugo Lloris.

The forward provides a constant attacking threat for United with his pace and dribbling, but he often looks indecisive in the box about when to strike the ball. Whilst Rashford is a handful for opposition defenders, his choices can sometimes be predictable when he takes too much time to get a shot away, consequently wasting a big chance for the team.

Last night, Rashford ended the game with two big chances missed, as per Sofa Score.

Against Omonia, the 24-year-old had an even more frustrating night; five shots on target, four shots blocked and three big chances missed. If Rashford is set to be United’s main striker option going forward, he simply has to be more clinical, especially in big games.

Thierry Henry shares same frustrations as United fans

When analysing one of Rashford’s first-half chances on Prime Video, Henry said: “You open the goal up, just finish it. Place it. Why hard? Side foot, goal. See you later.”

Evra replied: “Not everyone has your brain Henry.”

Henry added: “I know but you have one, use it.”
