Nottingham Forest loanee goalkeeper Dean Henderson arguably had his best performance of the season when the newly promoted Premier League side managed a scoreless draw against Brighton.
They were able to lift themselves off the bottom of the Premier League table with a point on Tuesday night and Henderson, who is on loan from Manchester United, would have been delighted to have been able to keep a clean sheet.
We all know how important goal different can be a relegation battle and it’s looking like Forest will be involved in a scrap at the bottom of the top-flight this term.
Steve Cooper was impressed with Henderson at full-time and so were we, as onlooking United fans. The Forest manager told Amazon Prime after the game, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News: “Dean’s made a great save in the second half, and I’m really pleased for him to get the clean sheet. He’s a really good goalkeeper and we’re happy that he’s with us.”
Stretty News verdict – Concerns for Henderson
Unless Forest drastically turn things around, I am unsure this loan move will work in Henderson’s favour – or United for that matter.
They could get battered for the remainder of the season and that won’t reflect too well on the man between the sticks.
That said, he was brilliant over two seasons at Sheffield United, though I’d argue that they were a better side than this Forest team.
