Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has predicted the outcome in what is likely to be a tight clash at Old Trafford tonight.

Anthony Martial has been ruled out with injury, but Christian Eriksen is set to return to the starting line-up. The Dane missed the game against Newcastle with illness, whereas Martial needs more time on the training pitch to gain match sharpness.

The Frenchman has impressed in the short cameos he has made this season – contributing two goals and as many assists in just 104 minutes of Premier League football. Since the beginning of the season, however, Martial has missed six league matches which is far from ideal for the team and Erik ten Hag.

Redknapp knows a thing or two about this fixture as he managed Tottenham for four years.

He thinks tonight’s game will end as a draw with Tottenham in good form, but he is still unsure about United, who have improved despite not putting away all of their chances in front of goal.

Redknapp told talkSPORT, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News: “I think you might be right (with a draw), it’s a tight one, isn’t it? Tottenham are in good form. It’s interesting this year. Tottenham are in great form. Arsenal are in great form. I do think tonight, I am still not sure about Manchester United. I think they are looking like they are improving.

“They have had one or two players in. But I still think they are short, whether or not they make the top four, it’s going to be tight for them. I wouldn’t want to bet against Tottenham, but if I was forced to pick a result, then I would go for a draw.”
