Manchester United are in the process of preparing for one of their toughest games so far this season.
The 20-time league winners are set to host Antonio Conte’s in-form Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in a match that will undoubtedly have implications in the race for this campaign’s top four.
Eager to put in a much-improved performance than the one that saw them stumble to a 0-0 draw against Newcastle United last weekend, Erik Ten Hag will know that his side must up their game if they’re to take anything off their London rivals.
Arguably one of the most in-form teams in European football at the moment, Conte’s Lilywhites would give any side a tough game and United will not be any different.

However, desperate to inspire, Ten Hag, who wrote in his Man United pre-match programme notes, has urged his side to show ‘character’ and ‘confidence’.
“Spurs have made a strong start to the season, so we have to respect their strengths while also ensuring that we play our own game,” the former Ajax boss said.
“Certainly, there is no cause for us to fear any visiting team here, so I want us to again show that character and confidence. That positive attitude has already helped give us important wins in big Premier League games this season, so we are more than capable.”
The Red Devils’ game against Spurs is scheduled to kick off at 8.15 p.m (UK time) and will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime.
