If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Manchester United during the January transfer window, the Red Devils could turn their attention to Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.
That’s according to a recent report from Fichajes, who claim the Portugal international is on United’s shortlist ahead of the next transfer window.
Ronaldo, 37, is understandably unhappy at Old Trafford after being resigned to nothing more than a bit-part role under new boss Erik ten Hag.
However, finding a pathway out of the club, especially mid-season, will not be easy, but, this is football and in the words of Ellie Goulding, ‘anything can happen’.

Reports in Spain suggest that even though it is unlikely that their five-time Ballon d’Or winner will depart before his contract up for the second time in his career, interestingly, Felix could prove to be a very achievable target.
A potential deal to bring the talented 22-year-old to Old Trafford is said to be possible ‘without any problem’.
The only major downside is that Felix is understandably eager to continue playing his football in the Champions League – a competition the Red Devils are not in. With that being said though, following a disappointing group stage so far, Diego Simeone’s Colchoneros, who sit third in Group B after four games, could soon find themselves out of the prestigious tournament too.
Since joining the La Liga side from Benfica back in 2019 for a staggering £115m, Felix, who has four years left on his deal, has gone on to feature in 122 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 47 goals along the way.
