Two Manchester United targets were on the scoresheet as Napoli thrashed Ajax 4-2 in Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
Victor Osimhen and Hirving Lozano netted a goal each to secure Napoli’s place in the knockout stage of the competition, as well as maintain a perfect record throughout the group stage.
Lozano completed an impressive one-two with Piotr Zielinski before heading home to make it 1-0 after only four minutes.

Four goals later and Victor Osimhen was hot on Daley Blind’s tail as he pressed the former United defender in his own box, stealing the ball and slotting it straight past Remko Pasveer to round off the scoring for the night.

United decided not to pursue deals for either player over the summer.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Osimhen was going to be utilised in a swap deal that saw Cristiano Ronaldo move to Napoli, but nothing materialised from the rumours.
However, according to Gonfia La Rete, Lozano is still a possibility for the Reds, and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed his thoughts on the forward’s future, saying: “Next June, Lozano will leave in my opinion.
“I think he could land in Manchester United or Everton.”
