Donny van de Beek remains on Newcastle’s radar

Newcastle United tried to sign Donny van de Beek from Manchester United and failed. Now the midfielder could be available and this time the Magpies could strike lucky.

Eddie Howe has done a brilliant job so far this season and he will be looking to take points from Manchester United this weekend. In January, or next summer, he could attempt to take a midfielder.

Van de Beek continues to struggle at United and it doesn’t look like the arrival of Erik ten Hag has made the slightest difference.

The Netherlands international joined Everton on loan for the second half of last season. Things didn’t go to plan because he spent more time in the treatment room than on the pitch.

Newcastle linked with Van de Beek move

According to 90min, United are willing to let Van de Beek go in 2023.

Dean Jones of Give Me Sports claims Newcastle could be an option.

“Newcastle is one option,” Jones said. “They want a central midfielder, still, and I think he might fit the bill.”
