Ten Hag won’t stand in the way of Cristiano Ronaldo exit in January

Cristiano Ronaldo will be allowed to leave Manchester United in January.

The Portuguese star has only been selected to start one out of seven Premier League games this season – and his only goal came in the Europa League against FC Sheriff.

With Anthony Martial returning from injury, Ronaldo risks falling further down the pecking order as we saw in the Manchester derby when he was kept on the bench following five substitutions.

Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure as he watched from the sidelines as United lost 6-3 at the Etihad. Former United captain Roy Keane suggested that the 37-year-old was being disrespected by the manager, which in truth, it complete nonsense.

According to The Telegraph, Ronaldo is eyeing a January move from United, and Erik ten Hag will not stand in his way if a suitable offer arrives.

The move he wanted in the summer never happened and it sounds like Jorge Mendes will be pushing hard again after the World Cup.

United fans will hope a decision is made soon, so that it doesn’t become a messy situation with Ronaldo causing unnecessary drama for the new manager.

The question is who is interested in Ronaldo?
