Manchester United are reportedly keeping an eye on Napoli winger Hirving Lozano.
According to Marca, as cited by Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United are interested in signing the 27-year-old, who is thought to be unhappy in Naples.
Lozano’s unhappiness is bound to lead to speculation and Manchester United are regularly linked with players that the club have no interest in.
I am not saying this is the case for Lozano – but I would be surprised if we went for him in January or beyond when there are better players in the market.
The report claims Napoli wouldn’t accept any offers for less than €30 million.
Stretty News verdict
For starters, if we are signing anyone from Napoli it should be Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Lozano may offer Erik ten Hag another option in attack but would argue that he isn’t better than what we already have at the club.
Cody Gakpo is the one we should be going all out for as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement, although I would imagine that deal would be complicated to strike in January after the World Cup.
