Tyrell Malacia scored a beautiful goal while training with the Netherlands. It was so good Louis van Gaal couldn’t contain himself.
The Manchester United left-back is earning his place in the starting eleven at Old Trafford and looks set to get a call up for Van Gaal’s World Cup squad later this year.
In training, Malacia made a run towards the opposition’s penalty area before wrong-footing the defender and curling an effort around two players and the goalkeeper with the outside of his left boot.
Van Gaal can be heard reacting in the background, shouting: “Ooooh Malacia!”

Malacia made an appearance in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night in an impressive 1-0 win over Belgium, but he was deployed as one of three central defenders.
It will take some time to adjust to that role because he won’t be given the freedom to get forward as much as he does for United.
Still, I don’t think there’s any harm in him playing in a back three because playing at a high level will only benefit Malacia’s development.
