The Rugby League World Cup 2021 was rescheduled to take place this year and it has been announced that the men’s and women’s final will be held at Old Trafford.
Manchester United say they are “proud” to host the finals which will take place at the Theatre of Dreams on 19 November 2022.
The Premier League will be on a break at the time for the World Cup in Qatar, so the pitch shouldn’t be damaged for any of United’s games.
With that being my only concern for these events, I can’t say anything against hosting the Rugby League World Cup.
👏 History made, @Saints1890
There’s more where that came from.

It’s an opportunity for Manchester to create sporting history. At the Theatre of Dreams.
