Christian Eriksen sets Nations League record in 2-0 victory over France

Christian Eriksen has been a terrific signing for Manchester United.

The Dane won player of the month for September and starred in a 2-0 win over France in the Nations League last night.

After proving that he can still perform in the Premier League a year ago at Brentford, Eriksen is now showing his best from since a cardiac arrest – for Manchester United and Denmark. He joined as a free transfer and I think it already looks like the best bit of business done in the summer transfer window.

Eriksen has started every Premier League game since arriving at Old Trafford and has one assist to his name.

For Denmark, however, he scored in a 2-1 defeat to Croatia last week before completely bossing the midfield in a 2-0 win over world champions France.

Not only did Eriksen contribute to both of Denmark’s goals on the night, the midfielder set a new record for this season’s Nations League by becoming the first player to create eight chances in one match.

That’s an incredible amount of key passes for one player in 90 minutes.

We hope he can replicate that again for the Manchester derby this weekend.
