Raphael Varane hails new signing’s impact at Manchester United

Manchester United duo Raphael Varane and Christian Eriksen face off in the Nations League this evening.

The two Manchester United stars go ahead-to-head when France and Denmark clash in the latest round of internationals.

It will be an opportunity for United fans to sit down during the international break and enjoy some football. That is if you can tolerate the worry that one of them may get injured because I’d rather our players be kept for the Manchester derby…

Both players have been excellent for United so far this season, with Eriksen winning September’s Player of the Month award.

Speaking ahead of the final matchday of League A Group 1, Varane spoke about his new teammate and detailed what he was brought to the table at Old Trafford this season.

The French defender said (via Manchester Evening News): “He managed to integrate quickly into the squad, he has a lot of qualities. We are very happy to see him at this level after what he has been through. He brings experience. Playing against Christian is a player that I appreciate.”

Denmark vs France – UEFA Nations League

Denmark lost 2-1 against Croatia last time out, while France beat Austria 2-0 ahead of their trip to Copenhagen.

Three points for France would see them successfully avoid relegation, but any other result would open the door for Austria to take third place in the group.
